picked up the tubing, raised sheet and 1/4 inch plate for the rack build I plan on doing for the trailer. Found that 1.75 x 0.95 wall DOM tubing sleeves very, very nicely with 1.5 x 0.95 seamed tubing. This is what I am gonna use for the telescoping sections of the rack bed. I hope to make a bed that raises about a 12-14 inches over transport height. With this, I would get a system that gives additional access to items in the truck bed and at the same time when fully retracted gives me a lockable secure bed roof. Got a couple ideas kicking around, will try and flesh them out later, but in the meantime…..
