Review of the Softopper!

This probably has to be my most heavily requested review.  I honestly get lots of people asking what it is and where to get one.  Always surprised me as I thought they were fairly well known.  With that said, I had the opportunity to help my friend install his new softopper on his 72 Blazer.  Really simple install, made a lot easier with two people.  He is already loving it and why wouldn’t he, it really does give you the best of both worlds.  You can run it buttoned down like a hardtop, easily remove or fold it all the way down, or run it as I do with the windows all rolled up in what I call “Safari” style.

One of the attractions of the Blazer has been the removable top, but in all the years I have owned mine, I never removed the top once.  I had no idea where I would store it, and it was heavy.  300 Lbs roughly.  This solved the problems.

I have had this top up in the snow, the wind, the rain and the sun.  Believe it or not, it actually leaks less than my old hardtop did.

If you have a square body Blazer or Jimmy, do yourselves a favor.  Add this to your upgrade list!  You won’t regret it.

Mention that you heard about softopper from Merricks Garage and receive $25 off.

Great Video on the Softopper. Thanks!! Helped me decide on getting one since I’m going to be running it mostly in safari mode.
